Hiraeth Surf

Hiraeth is a longing — a pull towards something that feels
like home. For us, that home is the sea, no matter the weather. But it is also
a longing for something else: the surf culture we grew up with. A time of
timeless graphics, rebellious self-expression, surf magazines, and worn-out VHS
surf tapes flickering in the background. A nostalgia for simpler days, and for
the memories that stay with you long after the session ends.

We have been surfing the South Wales coast for over 20
years. Most days are far from perfect — wind, rain, grey skies, and cold water
are all part of it. But we still go. There is something special about paddling
out when most people stay at home, and something about that quiet walk back to
the car afterwards that never leaves you.

Hiraeth Surf was born in 2025 on the rugged coastline of the
Glamorgan Heritage Coast. For everyday, not just for perfect waves, but for the
in-between days — the messy sessions, the quiet line-ups, the winter paddles,
cold hands, and cold feet. The kind of sessions that turn into stories years
later. The ones you remember with the same feeling as finding an old photograph
or a scratched-up surf tape at the back of a cupboard.

We are for the everyday surfer — the working parents, the
weekend chasers, the ones who surf for fun, and the ones who surf because they
need to. Because the sea does not care how good you are.

Our aim is simple: to create high-quality, dependable surf
apparel that captures the nostalgia and spirit of those past days, while still
being built for the next session.
